By setting up and using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), you significantly increase your male-shibari.art account’s security and help protect your account from unauthorized access.

How to set this up

1. Log in to Your WordPress Account

  • Navigate to the login page by clicking the small dot in the footer menu:

  • Enter your username and password to access your WordPress dashboard:

2. Start the 2FA Setup

  • A small info text appears, read it and and click „continue“.

3. Select a 2FA Method

We offer two 2FA methods. Choose one based on your preference on this screen:

Set up your preferred method by clicking the right arrow.

  • Email Authentication (the easiest way):
    • Select Email as your 2FA method by clicking „enable“.

      Then click „Continue“…

    • This method sends a code to your registered email address during login. Enter the code here

    • Save your settings to enable this feature.
  • Authenticator App (once set up, more coconvenient
    • Install an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Authy or 1Password on your smartphone.
    • Scan the QR code displayed on the 2FA setup page using the app.

    • The app will generate a 6-digit code; enter it in the verification field to confirm.

    • Save your settings to enable this feature.

4. Test Your 2FA Setup

  • Log out and log back in to ensure your 2FA setup works as expected.
  • You will be prompted to enter a verification code (via email or the authenticator app) after entering your username and password.

How to Log in

1. Go to the Login Page

  • Visit your WordPress login page:
    https://yourwebsite.com/wp-login.php

2. Enter Your Username and Password

  • Enter your login credentials and click Log In.

3. Enter Your 2FA Code

Depending on your chosen 2FA method:

  • Email: Check your email for a verification code and enter it in the 2FA field:

  • Authenticator App: Open your app, find the code for your site, and enter it.

4. Complete Login

  • Click Submit after entering the correct 2FA code to access your dashboard.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Didn’t Receive an Email Code?
    • Check your spam or junk folder. If the email doesn’t arrive, try resending the code.
  • Authenticator App Not Working?
    • Ensure your phone’s date and time settings are accurate, as they affect code generation.
  • Lost Access to 2FA?
    • Contact the site administrator to reset your 2FA settings.
