What is two-factor authentication?

Two-factor authentication protects access to an online account with two independent components:

  1. with a (secure!) password,
  2. with a code that is sent to a mobile phone or a specific e-mail account, for example, and which you then have to enter additionally when logging into the system.

For WordPress and ProcessWire admin access, we now offer two-factor authentication as an added layer of protection. This is a particularly good way of protecting critical access data, even if you accidentally lose your password (e.g. due to a fraudulent “phishing” e-mail). Please contact us.
