Manage web hosting yourself? / Alternatives possible?
Our hosting is an optional offer for our customers. Would you like to keep your domains and e-mails with your previous provider and let us host your website so that you can benefit from our fast server and maintenance services? That’s possible. External domains and emails can be easily linked.
Or we program your new website, but you would then like to manage everything yourself – including web space – via your previous provider? That is also possible. After completion, we would deliver your website to you as an electronic file, and you simply install it on your server according to our instructions. You then take over everything else – from updates and security to domain and email management.
Why is the server location important?
The server location should be close to your users. Our main servers are located in Frankfurt/Main, Cologne and Strasbourg.
We offer an optional CDN (Content Delivery Network) helps to bring files closer to your users worldwide, no matter where they visit the website from.
We have our own email server – how do I continue to use it?
An external e-mail server such as Microsoft Exchange can continue to be used. We store the necessary settings for the domain and redirect emails accordingly.
How are the server costs calculated?
The costs are made up of the rental of selected servers and the configuration according to the technical requirements of your website. In addition, we charge monthly for on-call and 1:1 support from a dedicated contact person (personal support, no call center) who has in-depth technical knowledge of your projects. Our prices are based on standard market prices. Our core business is web design, not hosting.
